Hi

Is there an easy way of dropping the rear of an e cals estate, i have put the AMG 18" wheels on and would like to lower it at the rear by about 15mm. There must be something you can do with the self levelling suspension.

Thanks,

I did this on the 560 SEC as it has self levelling rear suspension. It was quite easy to do, very difficult to explain! There is a rod which gets lowered as more load goes in the car. Its connected to the self levelling sytem so the car lifts up again. I took this bar out and drilled another hole and then bolted it back together using the new hole. Then added lowering springs. (You can chop half a loop of your old ones without any probs.)

Alternatively change the spring pads for number 1.

Can't the adjustment clamp be adjusted on the anti-roll bar instead of drilling a new hole?

There are adjustments but not enough for the drop i wanted. It was far easier this way, not even 15 minutes to take it apart, drill a new hole and put it back together.
