Hi all,

I need some help and advice please. I have put a set of 17inch alloys on my SEC560. I need to have the car lowered and I would appreciate any lowering kits that are recommended including shocks.

Also if anyone would recommend anyone in southwest London to install.

Thanks

With a car of that status, I should tread very carefully. H&R might be a possibility and might advise. You could search the 'net for people who have done likewise. And ther is Eibach too.

And do you have self-levelling at the back? If so, that doesn't rule out your plan but it might complicate it.

Another way might be to reduce (if possible) the thickness of the spring pads. Each reduction of 5mm thickness lowers by about 7 or 8 mm.

And again, in your shoes, I'd be very reluctant to set it too low. In the UK, and here in France, the roads are very variable. I had a Bilstein B12 lowering kit on my 300CE and it became a bit of a pain. That's my we reverted to original Sportline. If you are always on the M4, fine. If not, hmmmm.

Just my 2c worth.

As far as fitting i would recommend TM Motors in Molesey. They work on Mercs of all ages and are very good. That's where i go.

TM do most of my work… they want me to order the kit and they will fit for me. Need advice on the best kit.

Thanks
