Has anyone out there got a LPG fuelled mercedes and if so how do you rate LPG.

I'm interested to hear how the merc engine do with gas, do they run as smooth.

What are the drawback and advantages.

Thanks

Yes there are several members on this forum with LPG conversions.
Do a search for LPG and you'll find their threads.

I have an LPG converted ML320. It works well and returns about 32-36 mpg equivlient. Conversion costs around 2k so it takes a year or so to return back the initial setup costs.

Feel free to ask any questions.

I never really understand this equivelant bit. I know you mean equivelant to petrol cost but as the price of both products varies do you recalculate, as that wouldneed to be every fill up.

A better measurement would be nnn miles per litre giving xx cost per mile for either product.

Your figures suggest a cost similar to running a diesel ML.

What's the actual MPG on LPG?

With my W210 E280 I get approx 22-23mpg with LPG, as opposed to 28-29mpg with petrol.

LPG (where I buy it) currently costs 57p per litre and petrol 116p, so it's roughly equivalent (financially) to 40+mpg with petrol.
