Luggage Cover Blind not unlocking 2018 c220d estate

Hi

The luggage cover blind on my 2018 c220d estate is not unlocking to take it out. The button on my right hand side is in the pressed down position but just won’t release

Sorry it’s the left hand side where the button is to release

I thought mine was stuck. While pressing on the unlock button give the cover housing a good tug towards you. That worked for me.

Yep they are stubborn they don't just shoot out when you press the button. You ned to give it a good heave.

Thanks, tried that already and think it is well stuck but cant see anywhere to release it other than break the dam thing or put up with it

Its even had the rubber mallet on it mate

Sounds like the button is goosed then, time to get the slim screwdriver out down the end of the catch.

I assume your pulling from the rear? ie from the boot side. If you’ve got a thin scraper or pallet knife try easing that i between the cover and the plastic bracket. Maybe give the button area a dose of WD 40.

I've just realised, is it not connected to the back of the seats, what happens if you try and put the back seats down?
