Lurker finally taken delivery.

Been stalking the forum ever since I'd ordered my first Mercedes. Finally arrived last Thursday and I'm well pleased with the result. C250 cdi coupe sport plus. Previously in Audi's and BMW's. Would never have considered a Merc in the past. New models/trims changed my mind completely. Only issue I've had is Mercedes "forgot" to fit the Becker unit I ordered. Car was delivered to work address and I didn't check it before signing for it. They're putting it in the post though so no harm done. Not quite as quick as I'd imagined (ordered without test drive) but a good compromise between power and efficiency. Will probably have lots of stupid questions in the coming days so please bear with.

Hope you enjoy mate! If its the auto get it out of 'economy' once you've broke it in a bit, the difference is like night and day.

Unfortunately my missus will have to drive it from time to time. I can't imagine the sport plus wheels will fare very well. She has a particular dislike of passenger side fronts. The black ones would be easier to refurb I'd have thought.

Does anyone know how much they would cost, i orginally went for the C63 wheels until the dealer said i couldnt have them on the c250 so went for the standard ones but would love them in black.. anyone got any pics of these in black?

Think I'll stick with standard and see how they wear. Tempted by the grills and black centre caps that have been talked about on this forum though.

they were ok to refurb - they are diamond cut on the silver edge of the rim so if the damage doesn't cross into the black aspect of the rim im told its ok to have simple refurb which cost £60 at my dealership. but if it crosses this aspect it would be new alloy time

hi yes i started a mod thread three months ago when go mine - link below - will give you help re centre caps and grills etc - i changed my grill and think it looks more aggressive esp on black

That's the one. Always kept my cars standard in the past but I could be tempted. Nothing I can't return to original anyway. My other car is black and i know they can be a nightmare but this one seems even worse to keep clean. Not had it a week and already washed it twice.

Doc, are these the same as the standard ones but in black? Am wondering if I should ring the dealer and just try to upgrade or swap the current ones to all black... Think I'll just wait until the car arrives and see how they look.

hi there - mine are the the optional black alloys you can opt for only on the sports plus - they are totally different from the standard alloys as you can see in my pics on my album and also the mod thread - for just an extra £300+ i think they are worth it - really suit a black car but also give great contrast on cars with the amg handling packs which have black highlighted parts

unsure if you can do this after the car is delivered as they may charge you the price to buy the alloys rather than as a pre order option which will be very expensive - you should check with you dealer

the standard alloys are good to but i think it just adds that extra nice touch in the black but thats just my opinion

Yes I have the sport plus too, Am wondering if I can get these even though the build is complete, think the white on black with the AMG handling pack would look nice!
