Luxury Climate control

Does anyone know if the luxury climate control unit will directly replace the thermotronic unit( A/C with temp control knobs ) in my w203 it looks a good deal

Thanks but still un sure if the 203 830 09 85 displayed on ebay will work, as the thread says that i need an 203 830 05 85 what is the difference?

look at mbenznl.com... either 203 830 05 85 or 203 830 09 85 may work

Simply swapping out the standard Climatronic units with rotary knobs for the Climatronic units with digital display is NOT possible in all the W203s, and out of the two different versions we have available (203 830 05 85 and 203 830 09 85), it might be that a car is compatible with either the 05 85, the 09 85, with both these units, or with neither of these units. Whether a specific W203 will be compatible with either one of these control units is NOT something that can be determined ahead of time and is something that has to be tested in the specific car as the compatibility is AT RANDOM.

Clinate control

I purchased the unit on ebay,The 09 version and it works, regulates temperature etc. However there is a button for the charcoal filter to be switched on,I dont think I have this filter, the button lights up when pressed. Can this be retrofitted as well?

I haven't done the pictures yet but will soon. I hasve however had a look undewr the dash in the passenger footwell. according to the wis there shoiuld be a cover to remove the filters The unit I have doesn't appear to have this cover. Do I need to change the A/C unit to get charcoal filters?
