BMW are going the same way ref wiring a friend has just bought a 2series (diesel) and fuel has entered the loom.the quote from BMW was around the 10k mark luckily BMW repaired it FOC

The same here. It had been some years since I had dealt with a MB main dealership until I got the c350e 4 years ago. In between I'd mainly driven BMWs and found the 3 or 4 dealerships I'd had contact with to be excellent and actually very consistent. The contrast between dealing with MB dealers 10 or more years ago, then to BMW which was also very good, to this recent contact was quite stark.

As I said right at the start, this was supposed to be about gauging whether anyone else had been knowingly lied to. Its gone in some interesting directions.
