Yo av a gud day m8.
Just have no idea what you are talking about but i have a feeling you can continue to be condescending for hours so I think I will leave you to it.
Shame I am not "pretty" as I'm sure you would be all over me like a rash.

The main reason for the paranoia with children and photography is because of technology, the internet and kiddy fiddlers.

A family friend of my mums is a retired Met officer who specialised in that field. She told us a few dark truths which have been touched (no pun intended) on here. I also did a couple of courses on the subject while doing my training to be a rep in Greece.

The kindly man letting the young kids stroke his dog may have a hidden camera somewhere.

The guy taking pictures at the pool of his own kids might put them on Facebook for Granny to look at. Itā€™s easy enough for a tech savvy kiddy fiddler to get hold of that and with a quick cut and paste heā€™s cracking one out over little Susie on the diving board. He will most probably send them off to his world wide group of ā€œclubā€ members.

Our Ā£45 million local new pool has shared changing rooms. Why? Itā€™s got to be a peados dream.

Women can be peados as well. Do you remember that nice lady that said how pretty your little boy was? She was ever so sweet especially when she patted him on the head. Where was her other hand?? They are very clever.

Sorry about all of this but you canā€™t be too careful.

I hadn't picked up that he'd gone...
I only noticed it when I was looking at my messages and noticed some were from ā€œdeleted member 6183ā€. I know they were from Dr Feelgood.

At least if this young automotive engineer is anything to go by .

I imagine if she opened an MB servicing specialist sheā€™d have plenty of customers !

Am I not pretty enough? :D

I accept that some have reasoned why they have issues with sharewd content &/or remarks...BUT... Some may also feel that some comments & inferences towards OP &/or some supporters are inappropriate.

As pointed out by at least one other a sense of proportionality may be useful..........

Perverts are online elsewhere tonight trying to hook up with young kids.

More offensive content on other forums, ( I accept standards are down to individual boards).

OP didn't share or type any content that is grossly offensive, vulgar or indecent.

I have made my own views known in #11 above... I am not opposed to having these conversations in public, but at the same time I think that mbclub isn't the appropriate medium for such discussions.

And, on a practical note, I believe that we wouldn't want to create a potentially unwelcoming environment for current and prospective female members.

I agree with the above sentiments

Some may feel, (that if OP doesn't object), that thread removal might now be appropriate.

Shareen's life quote here appears appropriate.

"my inspiration is successful women in male-dominated industries (like the automotive industry). as a female engineer, i often don't get taken seriously until i proof my knowledge."

So what happened to Dr Feelgood / Lewyboy, then?
Anyone care to elucidate?

The thread topic? err Lockit!

I recommend Grammarly to help fix the above text :D

She is a model. Her clients are companies for whom she models. Her job is in marketing. She is studying engineering. The article is to 'Model Citizen', that focuses on... models. Models trade on their physical attributes.

nothing like stating the obvious

When my youngest was having diving lessons at the local pool over 20 years ago I decided to take a photograph. Big mistake apparently as I was approached by someone in ā€˜authorityā€™ who told me I wasnā€™t allowed. Photographing other kids swimming I could understand but diving lessons ffs šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø
Reminds me of my sonā€™s primary school Christmas Carol concert in the village church .

The first year I went up on the balcony with my camcorder and filmed the concert , focussing mainly on my son - all good .

The following year I went to do the same and was approached by someone who represented himself as one of the teachers , saying it wasnā€™t allowed . When I replied that I was only interested in my son and it was for my 88 year old mother who had mobility issues and otherwise would not see her grandson take part in this family event , he was adamant .

Before the concert , the minister made an announcement that photography and filming was not permitted ā€˜to protect the childrenā€™ - whatever that was supposed to mean .

As the concert progressed , I noted that a majority of parents in the congregation had iPhones and iPads out openly filming the concert , so I just set my camcorder back up and filmed my son too .

Later that week I wrote a stinker of a letter to the local newspaper asking who these public employees thought they were trying to interfere in a family activity which had taken place for years and which , clearly the majority of parents wished to do ; also mentioning about the video being for my elderly mother who lived at the other side of the country.

A couple of weeks after publication , there were several letters of support from parents who agreed .

I never went back after that , nor did I send my son , who never liked taking part anyway .

To be fair to her, I don't i.agine she actually typed out that article, that would have been someone else.
If she actually said "proof" then thats another thing altogether.

She's just a pretty girl working the best way she can, she isn't really an engineer, she's only studying engineering as a quirk to get the (dirty old)men with the money and fast cars to take her places and buy her things.

Not a criticism.
