Hi,
Had a quick check but no previous threads evident.

Looking at what boot/rear seat dog guard to get, my ESS isn’t aggressive, just likes to be inside your shirt pocket if being kept at a distance!😂

Noticed lots of ‘genuine’ used GLC guard/cargo nets on eBay, does this mean they haven’t proven ‘fit for purpose’ by GLC users?

Photo is example of what’s being offered
TIA,
Tony

My glc cargo net is still unused since 2018/19. Totally pointless tbh.

Fitting it firstly :-)

Must admit although I've used the built in net type in my 204 and BMWs as general cargo restraint 'just in case' , for woofer transport I've always installed a 'proper' dog guard...Barjo being my go-to supplier.

Don't know about the GLC but the 'roller blind' luggage net (not dog guard) on the C Class estates we've had didn't cover the whole width - there was a gap each side. Fine for stopping cases from flying forward in a crash, but not going to prevent a dog from getting out of the boot.

You see them on eBay btw as people sometimes sell them before selling the car, hoping the new owner won't know/notice it's missing. Also a few from scrapped cars etc.

Plenty of proper dog guards around - MB might even sell one?

Yea, undecided if the provided guard would be adequate to stop 20kg of precious unrestrained hound flying forward.

Will setup default and assess, though netting is softer ‘capture material’ than hard bars in event of any accident 🤷‍♂️
