190e 2.6 project
hi

I am currently working on a my W201 2.6 project car. from my search I limit the option for an engine swap between the M104.980 from w124 300ce 24v and the M104.990 from a W140 320.

my question is with the difference between the two engines the swap of
1- the M104.980 should be direct one due o the similarity with my M103 2.6 CIS system, but I need to have the ECU, the EZL and the harness.
note: I remember reading that Carat 3.6 once said that the swap will need a minor work on changing the position of the engine oil pan.

2- the M104.990 has the HFM system which different from my current engine and the swap will require some additional work but definitely will need the ECU, EZL and harness. is there anything else I missed here.

I am like more the M104.980 but where I live the W140 engines are widely available and at good prices.

one more thing which I would like to get it confirmed, I believe that both engines will bolt in directly to my auto gearbox.

I've had both in a 190. If you are keeping the auto, do the m104 3.2 if doing the dog leg swap then go for the 300 24v. I personally much preferred the 3.2 coupled to the auto to the 300 24v manual.

Hi was just wondering if you possibly have a tutorial on the swap or point me in the right directions. Thanks

Hi. I have the same problem. I have a 190 2.6 and I want to get a w140 3.2 engine. Does anyone know how to connect the harness?
