M113 K Long tube "headers"

Long or mid length headers will not fit with the stock primary cats it is however possible to fit them with smaller cats postioned between the two sets of lambda sensors. Most go with 200 cell and if you go with mid or full length it's worth thinking about replacing the engine mounts at the same time.

I have PLM shorties and they work very well for me. They are a direct replacement for the standard log headers, so you can retain your primary cats. Personally that would be my advice and go the shorty route. Kleemann are considered mid length and as Savman has said above will not work with your existing primaries and require a fair amount of extra exhaust work and cost. If you are already visiting Eurocharged have a chat with Paul (Savman) and Andy about the options.

I am quite signifcantly leaning towards PLM Shorties, I can get them for about £800 or so from the USA, currently trying to find a cheaper source but you never know, even at that price its not soo bad, depending on gains.

Have a word with Paul and Andy at Eurocharged as they may have a set. The problem with importing from US is you will get hit with import duties.

As for gains I reckon app 30bhp and 30lb/ft. My car was on the dyno at MSL last year as part of the MBClub day and it averaged about that over the other similarly modded cars that didn't have headers fitted.

I will.

Thats not a bad gain to be honest, I was thinking less.

Anybody know if they will fit SL55?

I'm sure they will fit John. Another member on here is having a set fitted to his SL55. Strange they're not listed for SL55 on PLM website though. Again Paul and Andy at EC will know for sure, but I'm pretty much 100% they will:thumb:

True long tubes are possible but does require a bit of surgery. Most go with a mid length which still require some modification to clear the steering on RHD but it's simple enough to do.

I do like the look of those PLM Shorties, whats the quality like? As I bought some manifolds for my 202 55 AMG and the quality was atrocious.
Though I cant find them for £800.
If there was a group buy I would be interested.

I thought ec had their own shorty header so why do a gb on another company?
