Been a long time mate, we all seem to be doing our own things these days my friendMy TB is currently is the 78m body, (known as the 80mm), however I do have a 82mm TB in the office, but really holding back fitting it, due to all the previous past probmatic posts on this fitment, do i want all that additional expense and potential ongoing grief fitting this TB, maybe later. albeit asking myself where it will get me, regarding the current crop of ultra fast AMG cars the guys here now have these days
Regards the filters, just me swapping in and out mate to see what works, minimal gains at best, if anything, but happy to explore whats out there at no great expense the IGT filters arrived for my trip to Mikes last weekend, bloody things fell straight into the lower box, too small! wrong filters!! have sent them back and re ordered new ones, so await their arrival. I would add I was a little shocked to the amount of oil within the the parcelled filter bag, it was sodden, so whilst trialling these filters, I am not fully confident with them, could well see me switching back to Piper cross, but will see how the Igt are first.

I think we just need to forget about the current crop of AMG's mate. Things move on naturally and our motors will never compete, mainly due to just not being able to get the power down even with quaife fitted. That said I know where I would rather be sitting behind the wheel. Let's just call it character that the 55K lump delivers in spades. Just don't think any of the new stuff can match that. Mind you Dave's E63 with the new turbos is immense and brings a totally different smile to your face!!!
No problem on the kit I have, it's tucked out of the way so no issue there.
My old wagon has been for mot this morning. Passed no problem but advisory on slight corroded brake pipe and slight play inn front wheel bearings so I will get in touch with Mike and get things sorted. Would be good to see you if you are about.
