Is it possible to crank a W204 C63 M156 without starting the engine to pre lube the engine after a long storage duration? Or how do you not let the engine fire up either disconnect the coils or the injectors and if you simply unplug stuff will you be left with various diagnostic codes?

Un-plug the coil packs and turn it over. You will get codes logged what ever you do to achieve what you want.

You don't need to though. Just crank for one second and stop, and then again.

Hi BlackC55 thanks for your feedback ! I have a 33K miles C204 and obviously i want to ensure I don’t compromise the camshafts and followers as i am always overseas i will maybe only put 2K miles on the vehicle a year. I have been even considering an auto lube system.

Old school way used to be to access an oil gallery (eg,oil pressure sender) and prime with an oil can.

another way is if the crankshaft sensor is accessible, unplug that as it needs the rpm signal feedback in order to start

How long has it been stored?

It’s a 2014 and i have not driven it since January the 6th and with the current climate it looks like it could be August before i return to the UK.
