M157 oil temperature/level sensor.

Need the help of the collective Mercedes hive if I could please.

Car in question is a 2013 ML63 with the M157 biturbo engine.

Currently on jollies down in Cornwall,had a message come up on the dash that the car cannot display the oil level or temperature,the oil temperature I usually watch in the cars AMG menu,it's just a blank now.

After a scan with the icarsoft,it's showing a fault with the temperature/level sensor,I assume it's one sensor that covers both readings.

Does anyone have a location and part number of the offending sensor please?

Seemed to have found it doing a bit of trawling the web .

Check the wiring first. Cheeky little rodents like to chew on the wires to this. It’s relatively easy for them to get at
