M177 / M178

Definitely a great engine. Super responsive and revs up to 7k , super efficient -used to give me 35+mpg on the motorway , nice stock maps from AMG with seriously awesome pops bangs and crackles.
Never once had to add oil between services (did 30k miles in 3 years)

So was my girlfriends 20,000rpm (yes that's not a typo) Suzuki GSXR250R!!

The 156 only hits the redline 200 rpm higher that the turbo lumps anyway...........

Another “Hot V” video with a little bit of extra info for the M178. Interesting to see how much heat is actually generated through the turbos and exhaust.

Just on this subject, given its going to be my car, I plan to do oil changes at 10k mile intervals maximum.

Anyone else do the same?
