Definitely a great engine. Super responsive and revs up to 7k , super efficient -used to give me 35+mpg on the motorway , nice stock maps from AMG with seriously awesome pops bangs and crackles.
Never once had to add oil between services (did 30k miles in 3 years)

I have to agree, they are amazing engines. Like you, I’ve never had to add any engine oil between services.
I’m on my 3rd and loved every one of them.

Another “Hot V” video with a little bit of extra info for the M178. Interesting to see how much heat is actually generated through the turbos and exhaust.

Just on this subject, given its going to be my car, I plan to do oil changes at 10k mile intervals maximum.

Anyone else do the same?
