Very tempted to remap - kleemann boasts up to 540bhp performance upgrade. I am just wondering if the rest of the car will be able to take on the extra power ( transmission, suspension etc.)?

I understand the 7g+ can handle a lot more than the quoted figures for the older 7g so I think you will be fine for engine and transmission (torque being the main consideration as it starts at 700NM on the CL500BE).

I don't why the suspension would cause you an issue.

It's the brakes which will really struggle unless you don't try and stop it having used the extra power or you upgrade them.

I guess switching to brembo wont be enough on the brake discs and pads then :D
I am considering an ECU, TCU remap and perhaps a full exhaust replacement. Should be nearing 600BHP 880nm torque
Not sure if I will splash on better turbos.

Do you mean the composite ones?

The standard ones are Brembo I seem to remember but could be wrong, but the composites should be fine I think albeit rather pricey.

I didnt go for composite ones. Just aftermarket brembo.

Be interesting to see if they make a significant improvement.

I know the standard brakes on the E55K, despite being 8 pot at the front, were shyte under anything reasonably strenuous.

I can remember cooking the brake fluid on a runway day and they faded rather quick at the best of times - not that I used them that much.

However, the CL has another 200KG on the E55K and I think the one time I stopped the CL from a reasonable pace, they were even worse!

Seems to break really well, especially with the goodyear eagle f1 as2
