Location
Back in Mill Hill but sometimes in Skiathos
Car
Gixxer 6, Citroen Berlingo, 911 C4S, Dacia Duster and lots of bicycles.
I made it to Skiathos after a hectic 4 day journey.Car ran fantastically all the way.Big up to Ian Walker for his work. The car gets looks of envy from the local taxi drivers.
I bought a used car guide last week and noticed that cars like mine are going for 10,000 euros.

Congrats on your safe arrival!

Pleased it all went well for you.

I noticed in Thailand the 124 sell for the same price as here, the only difference is that the are as new and totally rust free, allow £1000 for shipping and you could have one of the best

On a serious note what would be required to register them in UK?

If its a Bangkok car the chances are they have rarely had a proper run - my mate out there has a fleet of cars and his '98 CLK (spent more on options than the base car and add 200% luxury goods tax so you can imagine what it cost him  ) is a bag of nails - its done less than 25K and bits have fallen off it like nobodies business. I can imagine the metal itself is ok but the hammering they take at constant low or stop/start speeds must be wearing on the vehicle.

that said I might persuade him to give it to me one day soon  so I dont suppose i would inspect it too carefully:D

CONGRATULATIONS GLAD YOU GOT THERE SAFE AND SOUND REGARDS JON

Very easy to import and very few things to change, could be worthwhile as anything over 2.200 cc is almost unsalable

So buy a C or E class..drive to Skiathos, sell it, have good holiday and fly back..

Sounds like a plan..
