About 4 weeks ago the engine light came on in my car. The bluetooth ODB reported a P0102 code which is MAF low input. It seemed to have no affect on the car but I bought a new MAF anyway.
The new MAF didn't fix the fault and I then noticed I had lost kickdown, which I don't really use much so it could have been missing for a few days before the new MAF
.
This is where it gets a little interesting. At night, presumably when cooler, the engine light would go out and the car was normal (sometimes, but not always)
More reading of Google and the problem could possibly be related to the EGR, which I electronically bypassed last year with the guide from this forum.
Last night I undid the bypass and the engine light was out today and I had full power, but my idle is now hunting slightly.
Any thoughts or ideas greatly appreciated.
