hi guys i think i know but wanted to make sure i drive a 91 230te and i was looking for the maf sensor is it the small black plug on the front of the air filter housing or is that a total different sensor

just to make sure that this is the right description the air filter sits on top of the rocker and not the side of the engine

You don't have a MAF because your car has a mechanical fuel injection system not an electronic one. It measures airflow via the movement of an airflow plate in an air funnel.

could you tell me what the we plug is that sort of has a resistor in the inside the air housing is cheers

Measures the inlet air temperature.

 

[Dieselman]

Measures the inlet air temperature.

Which indicates it's got electronic FI, or is this jetronic KE.?
