Maf Sensor part No

Hi, I'm new to this forum, any forum! Having purchased my first Mercedes, 2004 C 270 cdi estate, I'm delighted with it. Unfortunately I have had some issues, most of which I have now sorted, but the maf sensor needed replacing. I have struggled to find the oem part. The one in there was a Pierberg, but I'm not convinced that is the original. I have replaced it with a Haas sensor, PERFECT ALL Fixed........ Now it's packed up again! Is this because its not a direct replacement and can you tell me what is and the part number. Thanks.

Can your main dealer not supply the MAF sensor you need?
Give them your Vin# and they will ensure you have the correct part.

I'm sure they can, but probably at a premium that I can't afford. I'm running a 2004 car because of my wallet, not nostalgia unfortunately! However I should at least check. Thanks
