right. its nothing to do with silverstone. in fact the girl looked blankly down the phone at me.

so i rang RAC head office. left a message with someone to ring me back. Inital person had no idea but thought someone might, and he was out. typical.

and now off to email autocar and rac and see what i get back.

right, it seems that the RAC and the Royal Automobile Club are 2 different things, still. small amount of investigitive probing and i got thru to Motion SPorts who are organising it.

seems the cars will be assembled on st JAMES sq on friday morning whilst the owners partake in breakfast. the first car out will be carrying the tourist trophy all the way. the rest will be asked to assemble at a meeting point en-route, they are trying to arrange a police escort for Towcester to silverstone, and then once inside, at the moment, it will be one lap of the circuit and then to the parking area.

altho i did make the organiser laugh by asking whether the price included congestion charge too. so if it does, everyone who qualifies to go and books in all owe me £8!

They are actively seeking a Buggati Veyron owner to be present but at the moment they dont have one.

Oh, they said i was a poser for my number plate!!


Just to add some boring trivia, My hero Mansell, won his first F1 race at Brands hatch. On the 26th April I shall be scaring the instructors daft as they are amazed at my lack of car control, and then to get ago around Silverstone 2 weekends later will make me smile. i might even be able to help the car along a bit, instead of hanging on for dear life.

yep, friday 5th May - Sunday 7th May.

And nope!

the brekky in london is on friday and then a tour of all cars to silverstone on friday. then those who have the ticket get to park in some poser car park throughout the race weekend.

CL 65 and CL55 on list! dunno why the SL55 isnt. dont know why they havn't put on a bristol fighter either. unless they happen to be the invited cars. some personnalities are invited with there own cars, but i didn't manage to find out who?
