I was fortunate enough to have ride in Maff's beast last night as a passenger i the front seat and I have to say that his car is AWSOME... :) Felt like I was sitting in a Being 747 when we were accelerating and there was no noise what so ever in the cabin... The car is absolutely stunning...

Thank you Matt and it was a very pleasant evening last night meeting you and Chris...

Next time you are in London Maff let us know....

I can only agree :D

It's insanely fast, though in my opinion a 747 on take off is slow by comparison. I'd liken it to the feeling when you go over the edge on a rollercoaster, except the power keeps coming :)

I'd be interested in hearing about adventures in the 200mph range when he get's it de-restricted... ;)

No Problem Flash, nice to meet you last night. Give me a bell if your ever near the local again and fancy a pint. :)

20th November the car is being de-restricted and being taken down the Bruntingthorpe run way to see what she will do - if all goes to plan.

So will I see you for bacon rolls and coffee then Matt?

If so....bring it on!!

Tell you what...a drive of the SL for a drive of the CL....<crosses fingers>

Sounds like a plan then Greg, you can take it out on the familiarisation lap too if you fancy, to get a feel of it before blasting down the straight

Any chance of me being able to get down to check mine has been de restricted. If so how much?

Hi Shaun,

From memory it was ~£150 or so for the day per car.
I think this event (if happening, not sure if its been confirmed yet) is fully booked already, but if you ventue over to the VMAX forum on www.pistonheads.com and see a post from Craigw you might be lucky.

Matt

No spectators unfortunatly, only the car and the driver/passenger allowed

Shame. Well good luck and have fun - I assume this is the same bit of runway that featured in the 5th gear '200 mph' attempt with a Lotus - highly amusing that the dagenham massive with a Sierra showed them up - driving one handed too !!

I think they showed two runways on 5th gear, Brunters is the clip where the other porsches/tvr's etc were where they broke down on the way.

My CL will have over 700bhp by next weekend and de-limited too, it's having the work done early next week, so it will certainly be 'interesting'.

good luck, it wouldn't be an attempt to make it quicker than my brabus would it?, only joking
