SLK 200 AMG Auto
Opinions please?
Is there perceived wisdom in staying with a main dealer and cost after 5Years?

Just acquired an SLK 200 auto which requires 5year service etc.
Dealer has quoted £230 for 'alignment' to full digital record and further £840 for auto fluid/filter (which is needed) plus next years B service.

This is atop purchase price, which maybe I walked into (6mths fault warranty).
I could go down specialist route saving £300-400but then I wouldn't have full MB history, Is it worth it??

regards Reg

I would go to a specialist

Either Terry @ Wayne Gates , or Ollie @ PCS

Used both and highly recommended...

I've just had a b1 and mot from acms for £336. And a valet. Great value.

You can get a MB service contract up to 7 years old.

Our SLK at 12 years old and CLK at 14 years are both on service contracts. This covers the gearbox fluid, filters etc. Worth looking into.

Gearbox fluid is a one-off change at 3-5 yrs depending on model.
