main supply valve

Hi guys I need help on my c180 w202 1997. the main heating supply valve that is under the air box has two wires to it can you tell me what colour wires go from as you look from the front of the car towards the fuse box as they are not not attached to the valve and I don't seem to be able to find them in my HAYNES manual. It took me ages finding what was draining the battery and stopping her start up but found them burnt out and now my multimeter has died RIP I have had it for twenty years and it had never let me down.

Is that not the water circulation pump? If so, one wire will be +12v, the other Gnd, detectable with a test lamp.
