I had a problem with Corel Draw 12 and MS Word detailed in THIS thread.

However, special thanks go to our member Markmifsud who very kindly offered his services (wouldn't accept any payment) and successfully re-jigged the document for me.

Several PM's and emails took place before I supplied Mark with the correct information to do the job, and I'm very pleased with the outcome. :bannana:

This forum is unique in that, there are very few bad apples (they don't usually last too long here - and let's keep it that way) and almost everyone is willing to help each other if possible. Long may it continue. :cool:

Couldn't agree more. When I was putting my iMac together it with the help of Swozza. Helped in many ways for which I am very appreciative. This forum rocks. :rock::rock::D

JonnyCJ went at great lengths to help me re-write my CV to help with a job hunt

Ian Walker and Nick Mercedes both went out of their way to offer me a discounted rate on work/parts and had I not sold my last car I'd have saved a bundle.

LTD and Sspeed have been great in helping me out in times of personal bother.

its great that everyone offers IY Support for free. Just a pity the Meachanics/Garage owners on here don't offer the same(Stock answer to most problems is 'STAR' at £50 a go....)

It'd be great if one said...I have Star, drop it round and I'll plug it in to help you out.....

They do indeed.

I've called Olly several times for advice and he has alway been a true gentleman and given me the answers I've needed. He even got me a new high pressure pump and saved me a lot of money.

I have called Ian for advice and he got my car started over the phone (fuel starvation) and I've asked Jay for torque settings etc, and got the answers I've needed.

On a personal level I've received and given help on the forum and it feels good. :thumb:

There are some 28000 members of this forum. If only 100 wanted a free diagnosis that would be, say, a week of work (I'm only guessing this).

Would anyone want to pay out their business overhead for a week and not take in a single penny? I don't believe that they would.

I am constantly surprised about how much experience and advice is shared by the professionals on this forum at no cost to the members. Every hour the professionals spend in helping with queries is an hour they could either be spending with their families or earning money.

I think we all ought to be grateful for the service these members give to this community and not be castigating them for not offering freebies to all and sundry (some 28000 of us).
