MAS - Is this it?

Here is a photo of what i think is the MAS on my engine which i am 99% sure is buggered, can someone confirm this is in fact the unit is question.

The cars a C180 late 96 with 118k on the clock.

Here's a photo of the engine area which i am sure there is a cover missing since i git it back from the local garage, has anyone a photo of the engine bay of a C180?

I really need to clean that engine bay!

Cant see your photo,So ive got my engine bay.If you have got a MAS it will be situated just after the air box just where I have got a stainless steel pipe coming out,My car is not fitted with a MAS (pre facelift)

Yes, that's the MAS. Dunno about your engine cover, sorry.
