That's an enzo isn't it? (considering the price) so the engine would be in the back half, not the front.

What if it split the other one, down the middle lengthwise. Easily doable if the center of the car hits a lamp post @ speed.

(More) serious question, after such a crash would the engine be worth anything? I would imagine it would have been horrendously damaged and virtually nothing would be salvageable? Expensive to replace I agree with, but I don't think we're in "replacing the engine" territory here...

Yep. Its a known fault. Apparently they do this spontaneously, usually between 5,000 - 8,000 miles. Drivers have described the experience as 'a surprise'. Its rumoured Audi are considering whether to make it a safety recall issue.

Amazing. The rear wheel has slotted back into the arch perfectly. It's just the wrong way round now.

He probably got a better price from the breakers as there's hardly any labour required to strip it.
