I am new to this forum. I wanted to share an experience I had with the fuel damper on my CL 55 AMG Kompressor, y.2005. Day ago I went to the workshop in order to have some coolant leak stopped but the mechanic noticed there was also petrol leaking from the Fuel Damper/Regulator that sits on the fuel rail. The original part nr of that part is A1120780092 and it was hard for me to source it as I live in North Macedonia, where we don't get so easy parts from Ebay, Amazon and so on. On top of this, the price was 160-200 Eur each. Instead I purchased another fuel damper from a local part dealer with part nr A1110780292, branded by Bosch unit for 20 Euros only (Bosch nr 0280161511). The leaking stopped and there was no change whatsoever how the engine works with it installed, even under heavy throttle. The Bosch unit read nowhere that should or could fit in a CL 55 AMG, but there were other much newer AMG models where it did. My logic behind this was: they look almost the same, they are the same size and plus the new part fits in newer AMGs so the pressure value should be same or higher. And it worked.
