MB Connect same as tracker?

I have a new c class coupe coming in march and was thinking of having tracker fitted, but was wondering if its necessary with mb connect?

How do the insurance companies see it?
Does mb connect get used in the event of a theft?

No the driver can call MB from the vehicle and get the tracking turned off.

Apart from the above comment, I believe the Connect only tracks if the car has been turned on within the last X days. Presumably a proper anti theft tracker tracks all of the time - 24/7
