Howdy all, thought you might like to hear about something a little interesting happening out here next week.....
MB Australia have decided to roll the national parts and service conference and the dealer awards into a spectacular to coincide with the release of the C63. As part of this, they've hired our most famous racing circuit - Mt Panorama/Bathurst for a few days of fun.

On the first day, there will be non customer owned C63s available to be driven by the customer's who have purchased one. They'll be required to nominate their skill level and will follow a pace car around the circuit.
The interesting bit (for me anyway) is on day #2. They've secretly brought in a German DTM car for some demonstration laps. It is understood that they are seeking to set the all time lap record for a sedan/saloon, sticking it fair up the Australian Holden and Ford racing teams.
Despite my connections and best efforts, I can not get into the event. I'll keep trying, but the best I can do is get some photos sent though after the event.
