Some of you may remember that I have had a problem with water leaks into my boot on my SL350. Although I have probably fixed this,(time will tell), I did have a fairly fruitless contact with my local dealer so I contacted MB HQ as per their website...twice now and all I get is

Is this a new policy of ignore the problem and the customer will go away? Pretty effective if I were about to change my car!

It reminds me of a trip back from Australia by Quantas which was the worst travel experience Ive ever had with the poorest service imaginable. When i asked for a customer feedback form I was told

We dont have those any more...people kept complaining about us!

Write them a letter - or telephone them. The R230 boot leak was a common problem - though dealers refused to acknowledge it. MBMK even covered it at a technical day for the owners club  .

I have 30 pages of info on this, the hardest job is working where your fault is and short of putting a little man in the boot and hosing down, its very hard.
