With a spare hour or so to myself I decided to change the front and rear brake pads on the W203 C320.
No major problems except that the lower sliding pin on the offside front caliper carrier has seized, all others slide beautifully but this one is stuck, presumably the rubber boot failed as it feels rather "crunchy" beneath!
Removal of the carrier and soaking in penetrating fluid has failed to bring any movement so it needs replacing.
I thought the carrier would be easy to find on-line but so far no searches have thrown up the correct part. I am fairly sure that the front calipers are made by Lucas, they are standard MB discs / pads, certainly not the Sports brake package
Would anyone have access to the MB part numbers or a recommendation of an aftermarket supplier?
Many thanks.
