Just got a quote for a 50,000 miles A3 service with plus 3 items:

£454.16
That's oil/ filter

Brake fluid replacement

Replace air filter

Replace spark plugs

+ all other usual main dealer checks to find as much stuff wrong as possible

That's via Mercedes Benz my service web page. Also checked on phone and they quoted me the same price.

Any thoughts on that price?

Just to add I thought I was overdue for the once in a lifetime gearbox service at 40,000 it appears they have the full electronic workshop history and it was actually done at 30,000 mile service by previous owner. I like the way as a used owner you can check the entire service record for the car and see every bit of work done. Nice touch!

Is it Sinclairs?

They will negotiate a little if you push hard enough by telephone of F2F.

Yup sinclairs of Neyland. Will they drop significantly and do you need to price match? Other option is the indie in Pembroke but il loose my mobillife coverage and similar European cover will cost me more than a Ton :/

Booked it in today and tried to haggle the price down they were not having any of it and got rude when I suggested that the local specialist was half the price. This will be the one and only time I use them. It's fine having fixed price service costs but it's silly me paying the same price for something here in West Wales and it is still the same price in central London or the rich SE. Rant over

Seems about right to me inc. spark plugs. My B service last week was around £570 (I'm on SCP though)

I expected some negotiation, 50% might be pushing it a bit though. I think that they offered about £60 last time I asked for a quote for a service.

I wouldn't use a dealer for servicing unless I was pushed to to keep warranty or something, especially for such a simple one.
