Can anyone recommend where I can get my 4-year old E240 serviced in the Salisbury / Southampton area? Independent specialist preferred, but comments on the local main dealers would be welcome. Thanks.

Hi,
I have always used Pentagon at Rushington Roundabout in Totton to service my CLK. Service costs at the dealer are more expensive than a specialist but the service I have received is always excellent and they have always been very helpful and I would thoroughly recommend them.
Cant say the same for the Pentagon at Eastleigh Airport though - got too big for their boots in my opinion and no longer deliver the right customer service.

Salisbury main dealer service: poor.
For example:
- car observed in workshop 30 min. Charged 45 min as per tariff.
- Battery needed a litre of water one week after the service. I wonder if they checked it? Perhaps not.....
- They removed Brake Assist from a 97 W202 as per a recall, and never re-fitted it.
Avoid!
I've now moved, so cannot advise on local specialists.
