I used Wright Tech in Sidcup.

Some recommend Keys in Bexleyheath although I've not used them yet.

I believe there are another couple of good places - one in Maidstone and one in Sittingbourne or some such Medway place.

Fully recommend the above. Mike has serviced all my MB's and is a really good guy who knows his stuff! Ask him about his conversion of a W201 190 to a 5.0 litre!

If it's the same Steve I used to use then I can't recommend him as he failed to fix an expensive oil leak on my car and I had to take it somewhere else to get it put right!

Lol, this thread is going wonky.

My post was in response to Ricky_S's rather than having any knowledge of the afore-mentioned conversion (which I don't any knowledge of whatsoever!). It was post #5 quoting a 5.0 conversion...

I know what you meant but "scarcely off the lights" - do you mean it will be unreliable?

Class Cars near Sandwich looked after my E55 very well for the three years I had it. Steve is ex Mercedes and the labour costs are about half MB Ashford. The ClassCars website has disappeared however, and I noticed the last service I had done in March 2014 was a different letterhead on the bill, now Goss Hall Classics. He always had a few interesting vehicles on the ramps whenever I visited...
