As you may remember I had a brilliant experience with the Service Manager of Walsall stamping my service book (even though I bought the car from LEX and unlikely to ever go to Walsall). I sent a letter to MB UK who replied with a very complimentary letter and a free gift boxed branded MB pen set for taking the trouble! :bannana:

I got one of those too for a nice letter (which I am beginning to demand that they rip up - how many calls DOES it take to get MB Manchester Central sales to call me!!!)

£45 in the MB boutique :D

Hmm..I just filled in my on line service questionaire after a recent service.

Gave the dealer a glowing report (had to really;) ), maybe I should write to MB and let them know how good the dealer is...see if I get a pan...:D

LOL..thanks..:D

Don't let everyone request pens, together we'll bankrupt MB!

No, now there are less corrosion claims they've got lots of money for pans..err..pens..

I wrote a genuine letter of thanks and praise because I had very good service when Edna was recently serviced and MOTd. Was not expecting anything back, but I have just taken delivery of a sterling silver rollerball pen - currently on sale for £62 :bannana: :bannana:

Wow, it is true then, Mercedes on a "be nice to the people who pay our wages" push:eek:

Reading this thread gave me such a laugh so thanks to the above two.

But on the whole mercedes dealerships are quite dumb, they sold me a battery a few weeks back only to tell me that they never did the recall a few years back! and that they are going to replace the battery free of charge, i looked at the 'technician' and had to laugh in his face as he was the one who fitted the new battery to my car and now fitting another new one freeof charge, i told him thanks but put my other battey in the boot, if they did this when it should have been done it would have saved me £168 and a dead battery. oh and they also changed my drivers mat because they tought it was asafty issue that it did not have the plug things that hold it in place!

I had such a big smile on my face when i left the dealership!

The new precedent has been set!!

With any luck they're buying them in for tuppence and so if it makes people have a warm glow inside it's money well spent.
