I Loewe Old Skool AMG
Going to buy a new battery for my car.
I'm not sure about correct size?
Could this be correct size 353 x 175 x 190 mm for W202 battery fitted in the boot?

Would you spend a few quid more for an AGM batttery instead of buying regular acid battery?
I have a charger CTEK MX7.0 with AGM option, might as well try this AGM battery if you recommend it for a 26 year old car?

Thanks for your help.

Not sure where you are located, but MB 100Ah batteries for passenger cars were about half price from some of the commercial dealers in the UK (as used on older Sprinter vans etc) - same part number.

MB original batteries were made by Varta.

I don’t think your W202 needs an AGM battery.

Measure the existing battery and also check the number on it..
AGM would be of no advantage.

Do you refer to Hedin Automotive having special offers?
This swedish W*NKER company should be avoided at any time!
Nothing but sh1te amateurs from Hedin, I hope this company goes bankrupt and kaput, I fu***ng hate them!

I had to chuck it and take it to recycling.
Don't have a batt no more.
I checked carpart sites, battery size shows 353mm length for w202?
Just want to make sure not to buy the wrong size?

AGM avoids leaks from battery lead acid, seen very nasty battery trays on MB corroded by lead batteries therefore being curious about new battery technology like AGM.

Would AGM batteries have an advantage over lead acid when it comes to my cars factory power options?

Price difference is approx 50 quid between AGM vs lead acid battery.
95Ah Varta Professional DP AGM LA95 - starter effect 850 Aen
95Ah Varta Blue Dynamic EFB N95 - starter effect 850 Aen

A Lead acid battery shouldn't leak unless overcharged.

I’ve not bought a battery from Hedin before, this was a few years ago but most MB commercial dealers will have keener pricing on consumables like batteries in my experience.

I think that will be okay for your C43 and shouldn’t be too expensive 👍

My 2004 w211 had AGM battery . Data card showed an option of higher output alternator . A lead acid would boil dry over time . Do your homework....

Thanks for the tip.
My car has plenty of power options which might be too much for this battery seen in the photo?
Don't remember exactly, when buying new battery what should I check for first?
High rate CCA or higher rate Ah = Ampere hours?
Which one is more important over the other?

Regarding Hedin, I only brought them up as I know they not long ago are open for business in UK.
In my country they never offer any special deals nor having any campaigns for specific parts like batteries.
It's all about paying full price, to the max!
Owner of Hedin Automotive jacked up all prices into premium level for auto service, for auto repairs, for carparts in my country to earn so much money as he can to buy off all competition and start businesses abroad like in the UK.
This guy is to be King of the hill, he's the #1 autodealer in Europe, a real tycoon.
Owner is all about making money but no customer satisfaction offered from Hedin Automotive!

Such an atrocious company Hedin is, more likely should be voted as the joke of the year!
Ronald McDonald the clown is 100 times more serious than Hedin Automotive will ever be.

You have all been warned, I've had real bad experiance from Hedin Automotive, I don't recommend this scheiße company at all.
I wish they go bankrupt!
Hedin company bleeds 3 to 5 millions SEK a day, we can only hope the grave is deep enuff for this company.

FYI:
Scheiße in German means sh1te.

Someone else needs to do homework... . The output of the alternator has no effect on boilling over the battery. That's down to the voltage regulator and the cars charge monitoring... otherwise even with a small alternator car batteries would over charge on every long journey. Alternator output is not constant and varies upon demand and usually their claimed output is peak and at a certain revs. But cars that were not designed with AGM in mind often can't keep them fully charged due to them requiring a higher voltage than lead acid types to reach full capacity...a mistake I made with my last ALFA. Was AGM even an option in 2011?.... don't even remember AGM being a thing 15 years ago... but time flies so I could be wrong.

2011 what's that got to do with it. Think you need some homework. 😁😁. How to read ...

True...I mean 2004.....the 211 model threw me off!:)

For them who doesn't care, battery size is:
353 x 175 x 190 mm

Way to go noogie. 👍👏

£168,91 quids seem cheap for an AGM battery 95Ah - 850CCA

Yesterday I bought an AGM battery, Varta 95Ah - 850CCA
Haven't installed it yet.
Was very steep it cost me whopping 3895 SEK coz we have F**ked up prices for car parts 👎💩
