MBClub day out at the drag strip

Something that’s been mentioned several times over the years - mostly by be me, I suspect - is an MBClub day out at the drag strip, to settle the arguments and “banter” about which of two models/engines is best or fastest?

I think there may have been a trip many years ago, but nothing recently. If we did it in 2021, which grudge matches would you most like to see, to be able to settle scores once and for all, and which do you believe would win over the quarter mile?

Assuming standard cars (unless specified) on a dry day, the shootouts I’d most like to see:

W211 M113K E 55 > W211 M156 E 63

W212 M156 E 63 = W212 M157 E 63

W204 M156 C 63 > W205 M177 C 63

W205 M276 C 43 > W205 M177 C 63

W204 M15C 63 > W177 M139 A 45 S

W204 M156 C 63 re-mapped = W204 M156 C 63 507
I pretty much want to see them all

I agree a W213 M177 E 63 S really ought to be fastest on the day.

There will be some. Mods will get in the way of settling some arguments, but will be plenty of fun.

If we did it, I'd like my wife to bring her car, and me to bring my car, and race each other - that would be great fun.
