DVD Comand, iPod integration kit & Parrot Blurtooh car kit on a 05 W203.
Last week i drove from Paris to Steve's workshop in Netherlands. My son and I were so excited to meet the famous Steve. A few hours later i could drive back home with a DVD based Comand, a 40 Gig iPod fully integrated and a Parrot bluetooh hands free kit connected to my Motorola RAZR V3.
It was a real pleasure to see how Steve made my several months dream a reality. No visible wire, no scratch and all works very well.
From my point of view, no MB dealer in the world and no other could do this job with a such care.
Many thanks to you Steve for your professionalism, and your kindliness.
Many thanks to you Wanda for arranging the meeting and your e-mails.

Great stuff! :D

We seriously need to have another European GTG at Steve's place in NL, I've not been to NL in a couple of years and I have loads of mods to get done now, plus a huge pile of parts hanging around that need to be installed. I believe I left a spoiler at Steve's place too...

Certainly not! I've never been to Amsterdam actually dispite having been to NL a couple of times. I honestly don't think I've missed much.

Shude : - stop being lazy and do the mods urself, I know you can do it... ;)

It's the steering wheel/instrument cluster/phone mod that requires star diagnosis equipment that I was particularly interested in help with ;) .

ok i let you off, maybe we should all chip in and buy a STAR diag machine for the forum! :)

The only guys worth talking about at Whitefield left! Now they are all robots.

I think at least one of them has gone to another Manchester stealership so I might be able to get some of it done there.

The big difference is that Steve knows what he's doing.

I really felt quite intimidated when I was in NL, I like blondes as much as the next man but they're all about 6'5 (I'm about 5'11 depending on how much I'm slouching). They're like amazons!

NL is land of the giants.

My only tip for anyone going on the ferry from Harwich: pay the extra £7 or whatever for the panorama lounge, it's definitely worth it if only for the guaranteed seat (leather recliner) and free coffee/news papers. Also no chavs in there, it's all toffs so remember your tweed sports jacket ;)

Sounds good...Not sure what I'd get Steve to do to my car, but I'm sure I can think of something!

Frighteningly similar to the last euro GTG!

Sounds like my dream setup... so I just had Sunil put in my Euro COMAND today in a 2003 W210 E320 Wagon... (so CD-ROM instead of DVD) and I wanted the iPod integration and Bluetooth. Sunil says the Bluetooth is coming from M-B and should work in the car - hopefully with my new RAZR V3 as well. We are struggling with how to integrate the iPod. We're going back to Steve for the AUX Connector for the COMAND to at least get the iPod audio integrated - but need to get a power cable that will have the right voltage level to the glove box. Right now, I'm not even hoping for multi-function steering wheel control of the iPod. Has anyone successfully put in this setup - W210 COMAND with iPod audio and direct power, with bluetooth/COMAND support for RAZR V3 with Cingular?

Bluetooth

My dealer has been staying in touch with me since my initial post and has been trying to get the bluetooth puck from AWS, and today called me to say that he talked to AWS and the part will not be made available to dealers but will have to be purchased directly from AWS. Further, S-Class is getting preference in distribution. So I'm not able to get it, and if anyone wants it it may be a real hassle. Sorry for the news to all of us who wanted integrated bluetooth. Is there anything like this available in the UK or Europe? This puck was first posted on a Spanish MB site so I wonder who the manufacturer is? Any leads?
