I thought your problems were finished...

I would phone MB and ask for a current contact name.

You having problems with Stratstones Dave ?

A bit of both mainly Ray but 99% MBUK customer services in the Netherlands, the Stratstone bit I can forgive to an extent as it was a wrong part delivered scenario but I have just been fobbed off, (or rather an attempted fobbing off as I was having none of it), by MB's customer services.

So did I but they have re-surfaced again after a few months of bliss. The guy above is the one I was given although, having doubted it at first, desilva has confirmed him as being the one.

Cheers.

Yes Wilfried is still in charge. Send a letter to MBUK Directors office and they will sort it out (contact name is Michael Ambrosio or Kaska Bull)

Thanks, so the spelling is correct?, what was he like?

Cheers.
Portzy.

He doesn't deal with anyone directly. I got a call from his secretary and his second in command.

Just noticed, I have addresed him as Wilfred (as in Bramble) and not Wilfried, the letter's in the post now:eek:

Lol, he does actually read all of the letters but obviously doesn't respond to them personally.

By the way what was your issue?

Let me know how you get on.

And you want help...forget it...

x2.

Biggest bunch of muppets ever. All they do is log complaints and nothing else.

If you have a problem with a dealer such as Stratsones beware!

Even when it was proved i was sold a clocked car, they barely pushed the dealership into a resolution. If at all.

When push came to shove. The problem was escelated to a "senior" member. A bird called Stephanie became quite stroppy, telling me i was being this and that. Her tone became loud.

And then the incompetent senior management at MB Stratone Bolton, pretty much harrassed me non-stop for their courtesy car. Calling me 40 times. Yes i repeat 40 times in one day.

Its pass the buck syndrome, and its rife at Stealerships.

I hung up the phone and got trading standards involved instead.

Who were more than happy to help!

Sounds interesting...

Update.

Got a call from a lady called Margaret a couple of weeks ago who was very nice and understanding. She said the issue had been escalated (?) so I'm guessing that my correspondence must have arrived with Wilfried and he was'nt to upset by my mis-spelling of his name. To be fair, she calls me every couple of days or so and the upshot is next Thursday my car is getting a full set of new boot/roof seals and plastic trims.

When all is done, I'm hanging out for an extra years warranty with this, considering since new:-

Two new radiators.
Comand re-flashed numerous times (still throws its toys out now and again).
Two full sets of boot/roof seals (third now).
Realignment of front bumper and PTS sensors.
Realignment of rear bumper, lights and PTS sensors.
At least a dozen rear plastic trims.
New A/C compressor.

Does anyone think thats reasonable or not?, not the above problems I mean but asking for (politely but firmly) another years full manufacturers warranty, I just want peace of mind for a while.

Cheers.

Dave - I think it's more than reasonable - you have been more than patient and accommodating where Diana has been concerned!!

Hope all is well with you, Chris and the family
