MC3110 vs MC3111

A question for all you MB Inc Car Entertainment gurus ...

Are the MC3110 and MC3111 interchangeable? I am looking for a changer to go into my MY2001 W163 ML270 which has a retrofit COMAND 2.0 unit installed.

I have been offered an MC3111 unit at a very reasonable price and want to know if they are interchangeable.

Since there does not appear any other comment, I'm not familiar with the MCxxxx model notations but from eBay I found two parts that were referred as MC3110 and MC3111, the indicated part numbers appeared both for the same car on EPC, like A1638201589 being replaced by A1638203889.
