Thank you for your reply, mine is been estimated double your margin pounds mark, where did you get yours done, any potential the problem recurringJust had mine done, I believe a few things fail, the main one being a selector breaking and for some reason I had to have a new bell housing cap.
£1200 for everything.
Good luck with yours.

Thanks for taking the time, for your input. Thats really good prices, mine is the gearbox selector, do you know what it is, can you send me pictures please if you doThe gearbox repair cost around £1050 at a transmission specialist, sorry don’t know which one as the garage that took the gearbox off and refitted it managed the job for me.
The garage charged me £150 for the job.
This is a local garage where I live, it’s a dad and lad and they are superb.
The fix is supposed to be permanent, the specialist/garage manager did say they do them all the time which annoys me considerably.
These are recent jobs they’ve come for me......labour only.....
Fit new rear subframe....£150.
Remove all four locking wheel nuts (key snapped while I was doing a service). ..........£20.
Thank you very much for taking the time to respond, I am just now awaiting for the job to be completed and the bill, I will update cost and details to aid someone else in the future enquiriesSorry, I’ve not got any other information on the job, if you search auto doc they have a good diagram of a typical layout for a manual box.
Someone else on this forum had a similar job done, I think it cost him £800.
Good luck.
