Meet this weekend?

Hey guys,

Ok, so it looks like rain for most if Saturday - on and off.
So it's looking likely that I will get the car out on Sunday as it's looking to be a fine day.

I'm thinking of heading out the back of Tonbridge down towards Uckfield and then up towards Westerham to stop for some lunch.

Not a grand drive, but pleasant enough I'm sure.

I'll probably be meeting Don.
Not sure where we'll be meeting yet but we may end up leaving from mine.

If anyone is interested, let us know and we'll try and sort out a meeting place.

However, it is looking as though it may be dry in the evening on Saturday.

I need some solid yes or no for either Saturday evening or Sunday day.
Otherwise I'll continue with the Sunday plan.

Saturday evening is very weather dependant but Sunday is looking good.

Hey, Sam :thumb:

It looking likely that I will be meeting Don and going for a drive and lunch tomorrow.
There's a chance Henry will be joining us in his R8 and hopefully also The_Don in his black. But yet to confirm.

You're welcome to join us if you want.

We're probably going to stop at the grasshopper inn near Westerham for lunch.

:thumb:

A nice group has come together for the drive tomorrow:

Don - CLS55
The_Don - C63 Black Series
Henry - R8
Steve - CLK55
Steve - Jag XFR (maybe)

Looking forward to it and the weather is looking good.

What time do you envisage getting to the Grasshopper tomorrow? There is a faint chance that I might be able to meet you for lunch.

Hey buddy!
Hope you are well :thumb:

I reckon we'll be there at around 1.30pm, give or take.

Hope to see you, if you can make it :thumb:

Why you making me so jealous !!!! No fair!!! That mug as got to work!!!:(

Sorry Rash, SWMBO has put the kybosh on it. Maybe next time.

Just got back.

It was a great day!
Just going to wipe the car down and I'll post up pictures etc.

Thanks to all of you guys, for joining me on the drive.
Awesome cars, awesome weather and even better company!

I'll post back up soon..

:thumb:

Glad you enjoyed it !!!:)

Ok, just finished cleaning the car down and re-sizing some pictures.
It was great to get a few of the guys together and take the cars for a run.

We met at mine for a tea and a catchup and then headed off.

It was hard for me to adjust to having an Audi on my drive ... but it was a ncie one
Henry, your car is stunning as usual.
That exhaust, mate!
I see what you mean.
Calm and sedate and then at the push of a button.. nothing short of savage sounding!
I think you may have rattled the neighbour's windows :D
Sounded great under load too.
Really does howl!

Sukh arrived in true fashion.. late! :D
But, as I understand it, he was working hard to convince his wife to come along, which she eventually agreed to.
I think she was expecting it to be a stereotypcial "lad-ish meet" but I think she was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the drive and lunch :thumb:

Steve only stuck with us for half the drive as he had to get back but it was great to have you with us Steve. Good to see your car and to meet your friend. I hope he enjoyed the drive.

Don, pleasure as usual.
You car sounds awesome.

It's not often that I allow a car to rip past me without challenging, but today, I can happily say that it was nicer to to just listen to Don & Henry tearing down the road.

The Black Series was somewhat more reserved on this trip out... although I suspect that it had something to do with a certain wife screaming every time it's driver went near the throttle! lol
Although, as I understand it, the enthusiastic, young rear passengers were trying to egg the driver along!:rock:
You've taught them well, Sukh ;)

The Grasshopper in is a great venue.
We discussed usinng it for meets in the future.
Gorgeous building, great food and excellent service... although one of the more important aspects for me was the parking facilities ;)
Bloody great carpark, no speed bumps, no gravel and no over-hanging trees  :D

We'll definitely go there again.

Few pics..
