memory card

Hi, i have got a 32gb memory card which i put on just over 2000 mp3 tunes
It will play most ok, but but when i scroll through folder in alphabetical order it will show artists from A ( ie aerosmith) right through to T( ie the beatles, )but will not show artists after T. I read on the internet that the memory card reader will support up to 4000 songs so am i missing something ?

I suspect that the file system format might be FAT16 - if so then there would be a maximum of 512 entries allowed in the root folder.

Alternatively, there might be a maximum songs-per-folder limit.

Either way, breaking it up into several folders might resolve the issue.

yes checked that the format is FAT32 as far as i can understand it there is a folder limit of about 200 and a max of also about 200 songs per folder.i will make some more folders and try that.
