A bag of small potatoes after Friday practice, roasted on the horse-drawn cart outside Blackburn Cathedral Choristers School back in the day. Salt was obtained by licking said potatoes and dipping it in the communal tub of salt. 🤢 It's a wonder I am still alive!

He also sometimes had parched peas which is a bit of a Lancashire tradition around Easter.

I made the mistake of searching Google the day before I was due the same procedure and medication, gave me many a nervous laugh.

My grandfather's favourite meal.. Pigs trotters slow roasted in the open fire!
That sounds good, maybe consumed in a cabin in the woods or sea side. 👍
Comfort food and accommodation all basic human stuff .
