Are weather girls picked for their looks? or what.
Cat Cubie from BBC1 Scotland.
Well its certainly not for matching collar and cuffs!
I'll bet she's got a warm front.
It's a high pressure job.
There's a whole website dedicated to weather girls and presenters, including a ratings section, though I can't remember what it's called (yes, honestly).
There's some weird people out there.......

Women PC's and Weather girls...
ITV has one corker with anime haircuts.
I always end up trying to work out how you cut hair like that and miss the weather
Probably the best thing to happen to Scottish weather in ages.
Died hair and a fake tan (well it has to be in scotland).
Are you sure she's not an Essex lass.
Saw the thread title and thought it was going to be a discussion about drugs. Pleasantly surprised.
I think her dad might have helped? Blās Limited : People : Sir Andrew Cubie CBE FRSE
Take the news at 1pm on the BBC.
They give a national weatherforecast with a weather person.
Then they go to the regional news and andother forecast where yet another weather person needs to tell us the same thing over again.
A complete waste of time and money.
Cat Cubie is a D rate Scottish celebrity - the sort that BBC Scotland like to cultivate into something they are not.
She has a psychology degree at Aberdeen Uni and is currently deputising while BBC Scotland's two weather presenters are on maternity leave - so will thankfully be leaving our screens soon.
Its actually embarassing - why not put on someone on who really understands the job and has studied the weather etc. Those people that have, must be fuming she's doing it.
This seems to be the standard weather girl's curse. Why, as soon as they appear on TV, do they become pregnant? News girls don't seem to with the same regularity? Must be something in the air...
Back on the original theme, I've always liked Lucy Verasamy:
Where's that arrow going?
A few seconds earlier...
Here's the Scottish weather girls brood. Judith [ the one with twins]was back this morning I noticed. I still remember Gail McGrane's impromptu DIY weather forecast with her laptop when the normal system threw a wobbly- my kind of woman.
I would smash her back doors in any day
