I am looking for a new estate to replace my 4 year old Toyota Avensis estate. Looking for a real upgrade (ready to spend ~£30K) from Avensis, more interested in new factory order though open to idea of up to 2 year old less than 10K mileage car. After doing some research for many months, options I have are…
(1) Mazda 6 Estate
Positive
a. Good Look
b. Fantastic Space
c. With all options and full spec price below 25K
d. Recent facelift
Negative
a. Poor build quality ??
b. Finish not comparable to Merc
c. No 360 camera
d. No Automatic parking option
e. No 12V socket for back seat from central console (my kid is not happy!!)
(2) Merc C Class Estate
Positive
a. Build quality
b. 360 camera
c. Parktronic Auto parking
d. 12V socket for back seat from central console (my kid is happy!!)
Negative
a. Last facelift in 2014 so old model (keen to see diamond grill)
b. Bit smaller in size
Other options I considered and rejected are...
(3) VW Passat – Not a big upgrade form Avensis in terms of quality and finish and most are options so high cost
(4) NEW Toyota Avensis – Not an upgrade, not much change form old model
(5) Audi A4 Avant – Cost is high and not comparable to Merc Quality, lot are options
(6) Jaguar Estate – Only used cars available, model is discontinued
(7) BMW 3 series estate - Manual parking break not electronic and bit out dated
Any suggestions please… Any other model to consider..?? Is there a SUV type vehicle with estate space..?
