I am liking the exhaust system for the E 55K I must say. Sounds rather brutal.

For a similar price you could have the restrictive manifolds replaced by long tube headers, resonator removed and a similar noise.
Add in shipping,taxes, fitting labour costs and that is a pricey exhaust system.

How much cost for all the mods and labour would you say for the above ? Also the resonator delete I am reading quite a bit of drone on some experiences putting me off slightly.

Give Acid at MSL a call 07765 444 447 and he can break down all the costs. I would just be guessing.

Imran at Torqueflow (within MSL) can give you the ins and outs of what exhaust work can be done and how much. I had the secondary cats and resonator removed and a x-pipe put in and I like the noise it gives. No drone either.

Not really in my interest to travel up that far. I have also listened to footage of the above mods and to be fair doesn't really sound like the mec design exhaust system. One other pro for me is the mec system would be a bolt on off job with amg system so if and when one wanted to switch back to original then it's not much drama. The mec system is £1400 door to door. Without fitment. A decent outfit would fit for 100/150. The moded option mentioned I would estimate £600/700 . Possibly more .

Not to everyones taste but I like this exhaust tone. I do like others I have heard on YT but hard to go with one at this time.

Main aim is more deeper tone with no drone at all like stock setup is my ultimate goal.

Great noise. I think they have got it spot on as when at normal speed its very low key

You are not making it easy for me with comments like that andyjay123 lol.

As you say its just right as at idle or normal speed its like stock sound but hit the pedal and its sounds just perfect for me.

I'm still finding it hard to part with hard earned shillings for the system plus the shipping is quite awkward/payment method. Sitting on the fench here lol.

Did say in a previous thread it would be within 6 months I have the exhaust mods so may get over the xmas first. Sounds perfect for me though must say.

LOL! I doubt there is anyone on this forum that hasn't heard a wide Impreza.

Only two of us have posted up this view - we could be the only ones...
