Mercedes 280ce 1981 - about to buy one - what should I look out for?

I'm a newbie to ownership - although I've created enough ad camapigns for Mercedes UK to feel an owner already. However I'm not a techy person at all. The car above is my dream car - I've seen one and I want one - I'll be seeing it this weekend coming.

Can anyone help with a list of things I should look out for please? I know my heart will rule my head and it might cost me - so please please advise.

rust! it can be hidden very well so get one without.

I am of Jewish origin and obviously I didnt find it offensive, I am a spurs nut and proud to call myself a Yid.

Obviously someone did take offence, or perhaps they were just and incredibly **** pedant who needs to complain about anything/everything. I dont know.
