That wouldn't surprise me, if my memory serves me right they were north of 500 Euro from MB back in 2007/8.

I don't think it's quite that simple due to parts availability etc.

M-100 Message Board - Water Pump

I see what you mean. Still, I'm sure a good engineering shop would sort out an old pump using a different bearing & seal, it would cost more than a second hand pump but worthwhile I would think. An alternative, is to fit an electric pump & electric fan, far more efficient but at the cost of originality.

Regardless, they're a wonderful car. The last one I saw was U.K. reg'ed, Silver with only 30k miles, really it was fantastic.
